I started this project as a medical student at the University of California San Diego (this site represents my personal views and should not be attributed to UCSD).
I was first introduced to the core idea for this website (that humans tend to eat the same weight of food regardless of what it is) during one of my class lectures on nutrition.
Throughout medical school I've seen an enormous amount of suffering due to obesity.
I wanted to make a tool to explain what I had learned about nutrition and help people who need a different approach.
I've personally lost 28 lbs over about 8 weeks always eating when I'm hungry and until I'm full by focusing on energy density. Accordingly, I know this approach works for at least some people.
If even one person trying to lose weight is helped by this site I will consider it a success. Thanks for looking!
